Wow! I've been looking for this web-site info for a year...fantastic! Last year for Christmas, my girl got me a Scalextric 1/32 track because I left a holiday magazine open to that page. I told her about huge race track, with cars that steered that we had set up in the attic as kids, but I couldn't remember the manufacturer or what it was called. Since my track of last year, I've purchased several Carrera tracks and am trying to put together a club in part of a storefront I own. The large scale Carrera track & the digital crossover ability reminded me of the old track in the attic, but it still didn't trigger my memory until I just came upon this article. It's like Christmas all over again! I'm not sure what happened to the old Turnpike track we had, and I'm hoping my brother may have a better recollection of where it is or what happened to it. I do remember as kids in the late 60's & early 70's we were scouring hobby stores for hard to find parts. Now that I know what I am looking for, I'll let you know how I make out locating our old track or perhaps finding an alternate one. Thanks for the memories...
