Thank you for this site and education on the wonderful AMT Turnpike set. I was finally able to complete my Turnpike collection thanks largely to E-bay. I have a mint set, dealer service kit, and extra cars with their original boxes (Impala, Galaxie, Pontiac, & Mercury). I always refer people to this site if they show an interest in the hobby. Regards, -Bob

Hi, I Am putting A Turnpike Oval together In my basement ! It Is 15' long ! I had one Of these tracks around 1964 ! I was very big In commercial Slot racing In the 1960's & used my AMT track mainly for testing my cars ! I Am using Revell aluminun chassis with custom front section to adapt To the AMT carriage ! I will be using 1960's 36D Mabuchi motors ! I will be using 1937 Ford (Revell ) & 1940 Ford (AMT ) bodies ! My cars will not have steerable front axles ! I did All this back In the 1960's On my original track & I'm trying to remember how I did It ! There are parts I need for my track & I would buy them, Or trade first class repairs for them ! I rewind motors, repair steering, ( axles Or accuators ), restore bodies, ( have two T Birds almost done ). Motor brushes are the only part I don't quite have figured out ! I also repair the steering wheel controllers ! ( Not hard To Do, but you need four hands To Do It ! ). Please post this message for Me ! Thanks, Ken. Contact Me At toyman53@yahoo.com
