Sources

Tires:  Tiny Motors:  A source of quality Model Turnpike tires in silicone as well as other reproduction model and slot car parts.

Motors:  There are no replacement motors yet but here is some info that may help.  Click on the link:

Bumpers:  AMT cars usually have beat up, broken or missing bumpers.  Searching ebay for "AMT bumper 62"  or "AMT bumper 1962" (title and description) will sometimes yield re-chromed bumpers for sale.  Model kits used the same bumpers as promo and T-Pike bodies.  If your bumpers are decent and just need new chrome, Try .  Tiny Motors offers reproduction 1962 Chevy bumpers but not the others at the moment.

Reproduction bodies and bumpers:  http://www.modelhaus.com/ seems to have bumpers for all AMT cars.  We have ordered a set for evaluation and will offer an opinion when the arrive.  Shipping seems to be 4 to 6 weeks.

Drive Belts:  We have found and evaluated the drive belts and have listed them on ebay in bags of 5 pieces.  You can find them by using this link.

Vacuum Metallizing (chrome plating) of plastic parts:  http://www.chrometechusa.com/  for re-plating of your bumpers, etc.

Driver's heads and cones:  Bill is working on a few molds for reproduction parts such as these.  See the picture below.   If interested, let us know!  Bill is also working on a reproduction chassis and cross-over track covers and wishbones.

Riveting Tool:  If you are interested in using tubular rivets to repair your turnpike car to original condition, try this tool.  It works well.  http://www.rivetin.com/article.html

Screws:

Track Cover Strip Screws:  If your set is missing screws, try these screws from McMaster-Carr Supply.  I used them on my set and they work well.  Go to http://www.mcmaster.com and order part # 98273A115  They are 4-40 x 3/8" long, type 23, 410 stainless steel screws, so they will be silver, not black.  If you prefer a more course thread (4-24) use part # 94629A550.  Either one is under six bucks for 100 pcs., plus shipping, and they take credit cards.

Body Attachment Screws:  Use McMaster-Carr Part # 98273A165 (1/2" long) or other you can use other lengths if you are adapting a non-Turnpike body.

"Wishbone" Retaining Cap Screws: You can also use McMaster-Carr Part # 98273A115 for this purpose as well.
