Here are pics of my recent conversion of a 1960 Ford Wagon Promo to a turnpike car.  It was made by Hubley, not AMT but was easy to do by making an extender plate for the chassis as the posts were on the same centers as AMT.  The wheelbase is the same as the larger T-pike chassis ( the T-bird is shorter in wheelbase than the others).   The body isn't bad but has slight warping and the windows shrunk a bit.  No changes were made to the body so it can be put back into it's promo condition, if desired   Maybe a truck next....
